How accurate is it on bad scans?

Less accurate, and it tells you which fields it was unsure about rather than returning a confident number it guessed. A field below the confidence threshold is routed to a person. Extraction that hides its own uncertainty is the expensive kind.

Does it need training on our document types?

Not to start. It reads structure and labels rather than matching a fixed template, so a new supplier's invoice usually works on the first attempt. Where a format is genuinely unusual, a handful of corrected examples improves it.

What happens to documents it cannot read?

They go to a person with the pages attached and the fields it did manage. Nothing is silently dropped, and nothing is silently invented — a missing field comes back empty rather than filled with a plausible value.

Where do the documents go?

Wherever you point it. It can run inside your own tenant or VPC, which matters when the documents are contracts or anything with personal data in them.

Can it handle tables inside PDFs?

Yes, and this is where most tools quietly fail. Multi-page tables, merged cells and line items that wrap are the common failure modes, so they are the ones to test with your own worst document before you commit.

How do we know it is right?
